Headquartered in Moose Jaw or Regina, an employee in this position will provide professional communication expertise and support for projects of varying complexity. Work will focus on developing and implementing corporate-wide communication practices utilizing a variety of media tools to ensure stakeholders, the public and employees are provided with timely, accurate up-to-date information specific to corporate strategic direction, vision and mandate. Primary responsibilities include: Assist and/or develop written communications for print and electronic environments, including news releases, annual reports, publications, and other related corporate information for internal and external use; Coordinate media relations, announcements, open houses, speaking opportunities, briefings notes and other related documents for the Minister Responsible and our Executive Management Team; Represent the corporation at various media and/or public relations functions and initiate contact with and provide information to other corporate divisions, government, the public and the media to advance the corporate activities; Develop and implement corporate communication plans designed for internal and external audiences in support of corporate, stakeholders, the public and employee needs. The successful candidate will have: a degree in Journalism, English, Communications or other similar discipline; three years experience; knowledge of the concepts, principles and methodologies of journalism and public relations; and experience in publication design and layout. The ability to establish work priorities, deadlines and interact with clients is required. While not a requisite, previous government experience is an asset.
