Description

Ag Growth Industries (TSX symbol: AFN) is a market leader in grain handling, conditioning and storage equipment. With eight manufacturing facilities in western Canada and the U.S., a number of established brand names, and an extensive North American and international distribution network, Ag Growth has become a dominant player in its industry.

Duties:

- Follow templates and company procedures to create, edit, and update technical documentation covering a wide variety of grain handling, conditioning, and storage equipment to produce high quality operator, assembly, and parts manuals.
- Liaise with engineers and sales personnel to determine document scope, content, purpose, and audience for product manuals.
- Develop drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate machine components.
- Visits to work-sites and analyze and/or assemble and operate grain handling, storage, and conditioning components and equipment will occasionally be required to assist in writing assembly and operating instructions.

Qualifications:

- Post secondary education in the field of technical writing or equivalent experience or education.
- Highly advanced writing, editing, grammar, and proofreading skills.
- Strong farm background, mechanical skills, and/or experience working in a manufacturing environment or knowledge of farm safety and relevant agricultural safety standards is an asset.
- Familiar with standard technical writing tools and processes (e.g., Acrobat, FrameMaker, revision control, use of style guides, audience analysis).
- Excellent attention to detail; must be able to multi-task and have solid analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, sales, and assembly personnel.
- Experience with CAD software such as Solidworks is an asset but not required.
