Partners in motion, a Regina based Emmy-Award winning entertainment company is seeking a Researcher for its new television series.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have exceptional experience in the areas of communication, writing and gathering information. Experience in the film and television industry will be considered an asset but not required.
Typical responsibilities will include:
-Bringing together the information, facts, people and items that are necessary for producing the program.
-Liaising between the company and the individual?s featured in the show.
-Contacting potential interviewees, experts, librarians, archivists, etc. that may be featured or help with the program.
-Scheduling interview days and times.
-Responsible for all the facts in the show and completing through fact checks at every stage of production.
-Being able to provide ?information on demand? about the program to the Executive Producer, Producer and/or Director at all times.
-Writing and proofing various promotional materials in relation to the program.
-Writing interview questions.
-Responsible for appearance, material and location releases in relation to the program.
-Gathering physical materials (stock footage and photographs) for the editor?s use.
Job Requirements:
-Completed at least some post secondary education
-Experience or education in the fields of science and technology
-Very experienced in researching and gathering information via internet, books, newspapers, etc.
-Ability to think strategically, make decisions and solve problems
-Extreme attention to detail
-Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills
-Team-oriented and a motivated self-starter
-Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
