Description

About the Role:
Join the Frontier Days team and assist in the preparation and delivery of the 87th Annual Frontier Days Agricultural Fair and special events. As a Special Events Coordinator, you will play a key role in the coordination of exciting activities and programs, including the Junior Stockmans & Ranchmans Livestock Show, Docs Town Youth Day camps, Cowboys & Chrome and other special events. You will help obtain materials for program content, work alongside volunteers, and ensure smooth operation and accurate financial records for the events.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist in preparing and delivering the Frontier Days Agricultural Fair & special activities for the 87th celebrations.
-Work with volunteers through the Board of Directors volunteer resource service.
-Maintain accurate financial records and files related to program operations.
-Help with the organization and promotion of the Junior Stockmans & Ranchmans Livestock Show and Docs Town Youth Day camps.
-Promote events through website management, press releases, and social media.
-Introduce and encourage attendance for events at Frontier Days, including those in Kinetic Park, Docs Town Heritage Village Museum, and Mennonite Heritage Village.
-Establish and promote the reputation of Frontier Days as a premier event in Southwest Saskatchewan. Qualifications:
Strong communication and organizational skills Interest or experience in event planning, marketing, and community outreach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Social media proficiency and basic knowledge of website management
Eligibility: Must be youth aged 15 to 30 years
