Description

Boortmalt is a global malting company with a 3 million-tonne production capacity across 5 continents and 27 plants. We strive to be the go-to partner for brewers, distillers, and the food industry by providing top-quality malt and expert support.

As Plant Manager at the Prairie Malt Plant, youll oversee site operations, ensuring the timely and complete supply of quality malt. You will manage resources efficiently, control costs, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
People Management:
-Lead and develop teams through Operational Excellence and a positive work culture.
-Manage union relations, staffing, and training plans to enhance performance.
-Foster personal development and change management aligned with HR policies.
Engineering & Operations:
-Ensure equipment maintenance aligns with strategic goals and safety standards.
-Drive continuous improvement through KPIs and best practice sharing.
Compliance & Quality:
-Ensure compliance with SHE, HACCP, Food Safety, and Employment Legislation.
-Maintain malt quality standards and minimize customer complaints.
Continuous Improvement (BOPEX):
-Implement KPIs, sustainability, and innovation initiatives.
-Support ISO 50001 energy management and business systems improvement.
Financial & Reporting:
-Manage budgets, CAPEX, and maintenance projects within scope.
-Implement reporting systems covering all business areas.
Your Profile:
-University Degree in a related field
-Expertise in Continuous Improvement, Energy Management, Budget & Team Leadership.
-7+ years in manufacturing, engineering, brewing, or malting operations.
-Legally entitled to work in Canada; able to travel freely to the USA.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT manufacturing systems.
-Fluent in spoken and written English.
