The Street Outreach Worker provides Outreach and Drop-In supports, counselling, crisis intervention, advocacy, and referrals to sexually exploited youth, adults working in the street sex trade and other marginalized or vulnerable individuals seeking support. The successful candidate must be available to work split shifts as the position involves daytime shifts at the Drop-In Centre as well as a minimum of 4 evening shifts from 8:00 pm - 1:30 am delivering a mobile street outreach program. The evening shifts include both Friday and Saturday evenings. The ideal candidate will be very knowledgeable of the life styles and challenges facing this population and have previous experience working with a street involved population. They will also have exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills and be able to perform their duties with a
significant degree of independence. The incumbent must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as this position is also responsible for weekly Food Bank pickups and deliveries. A valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
