Task:
*Set up workstations with all needed ingredients
* Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
* Prepare and cook special meals for the customer as instructed by Kitchen manager
* Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
* Oversee kitchen operations
* Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
* May clean kitchen and work area
* May plan menus, determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
* Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met
* Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays
* Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
* Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards
* Instruct other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
* Order or requisition food and other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation
* Complete other duties as assigned
