Job Description: The EMT-ACP will respond to calls for service as per dispatch instructions, providing assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons. The EMT-ACP will cover standby assignment, as operations require.

Education- Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma (ACP)
Licenses- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
- Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic/Advanced Care Paramedic (EMT-P/ACP)
- Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C)
- Valid Class 4 driver's license
Other Education and Training- Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)
- Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) certificate acceptable
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
Competencies - Basic - Communication skills
- Basic - Interpersonal skills
Knowledge and Abilities- Knowledge in diverse cultures, values and traditions
Other Information- Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
