Eagle Heart Centre is seeking an Early Childhood Educator Assistant with a passion and a natural gift working with children. The ECE will assist in applying a Head Start curriculum in a safe nurturing, stimulating with delivering a holistic, culturally attuned, and enriching early education experience to the Indigenous community.  If you love to make a difference in the lives of young children, we would love to hear from you!  This position reports to the Head Start Team Lead.

Education: Grade 12 diploma.  Level 1-3 early childhood Education Diploma, previous experience working with children would be considered.

Qualifications:
Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
Attention to detail
Physical demanding with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting
To ensure the health and safety of all children, staff, parents and yourself by maintaining cleanness of equipment and facility.
Maintaining written and statistical reports
Assist with snacks and food preparation.
Knowledge of Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook
Fluent in an Aboriginal language would be an asset
Ability to take direction, follow instructions and work independently or with a team
Demonstrate a caring and supportive attitude toward children
Demonstrates a commitment to Truth and Reconciliation
Provide a Criminal Record Check and a vulnerable sector check
First Aid and CPR certificate
