Description

The Town of Pilot Butte Recreation Department is now accepting applications to fill a Program Leader position. The position is designed to work along the Recreation Program Coordinator in leading and supervising a variety of recreation programs, specifically a youth program for ages 9 to 14. Other programs may require help as needed.

Duties include but are not limited to:
    Supervising the activities of recreation programs as assigned to ensure due care, safety and security of participants
    Implementing a varied recreational program involving crafts, active games, calming activities, sports and special events for children
    Maintaining records of attendance, program activities and incident reports
    Sustaining and preserving inventory of program supplies
    Communicating with parents/caregivers of participants as needed
    Other duties as assigned by the Director of Parks & Recreation or Recreation Program Coordinator

Qualifications:
    Experience working with children and youth ages 5 to 14 is an asset
    Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable sector included)
    Work with minimal supervision
    Standard First Aid/CPR is required (CPR C is preferred)
    Valid Drivers License an asset

Working Conditions:
    Program dates you must be available for is every Tuesday beginning October 22, 2024. Program runs October to December and January to April
    Hours of work will be 6:00 Pm  9:00 Pm Tuesday evenings
    Occasional Saturday or Sunday depending on the event such as Halloween skate, Family events.
    Valid Drivers License an asset
