Description

The Communications Branch within the Ministry of Immigration and Career Training is seeking a dynamic, highly skilled and motivated Communications Consultant to develop, implement and evaluate communications strategies and materials to support the ministrys mission to ensure the province has a diverse and talented workforce.

Reporting to the Director, your responsibilities will include:

- Researching and writing marketing, communications and digital strategies; providing strategic advice to senior officials;
- Developing a variety of written content, including speeches, articles, news releases, social media and web content;
- Organizing media events; and
- provide media relations and monitoring; and other duties as required.

Typically, the knowledge and abilities required for this position would have been gained through the completion of post-secondary education (Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or similar) and experience in the field.
