Construction Estimator

Zak's Home Hardware Building Centre and Zak's Building Group are known as quality building material suppliers and contractors in the Construction Industry.

Zak's operates two Home Hardware Building Centres (in Hague and Warman), along with Zak's Building Group's contracting divisions:
- Ready-to-Move and On-Site Homes and Cottages
- Agricultural Buildings
- Commercial Buildings
- Renovations & Custom Cabinets

We have an immediate opening for a full-time, permanent Construction Estimator at our Hague location.

Position Details:
- Reviewing Tender Documents
- Bidding public and private construcion work
- Material estimating for cast-in-place concrete, wood construction, steel construction, and interior finishings
- Take-offs for residential, agricultural, and commercial projects
- Use of MiTek software and Microsoft Excel for 3D project modelling and quantity estimates
- Use of point-of-sale software for bill of materials and delivery slips
- Assist With Updating Drawings, Specifications and Quantity Takeoffs
- Supports superintendent, project manager and project coordinator
- Assists with schedules and monitoring performance

Desired Skills:
- Engineering-In-Training, Engineering Technologist, Architectural Technologist
- Construction industry experience
- Strong computer experience
- Excellent work ethic
- Work well with others and independently
- Holds a high standard of quality on all work
- Blue Beam REVU, Revit or CAD
- MS Office
