Overview
The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Rare Earth Element Division has opportunities for Construction Labourers to provide general support for construction of SRCs Rare Earth Processing Facility. This position is open to varying experience levels, ranging from recent high school graduates with an interest in working alongside experienced trades to candidates with a background in construction or industrial environments.
Accountabilities
Provide general assistance to the construction team and tradespeople (i.e. Journeyperson Plumbers, Pipefitters, Electricians)
Duties include sorting and organizing materials, painting, assembling and installing a variety of equipment and possible light fabrication
Assist with installation, repair and maintenance of plant equipment
Organize and clean the facility and construction site
Skills
Mechanical aptitude
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and provide help where needed
A team player with effective communication, multitasking and organizational skills
Ability to work in an ever-changing environment
Strong attention to detail
Telehandler experience is considered an asset
Forklift and crane operation certifications are essential
Requirements
Valid Graduated Class 5 drivers license
Some heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required
Ability to work in the varying weather conditions
