We are seeking an organized and dynamic Level 3 Early Childhood Educator to oversee the creation and implementation of high quality early learning and child care program at The Carter House.
Knowledge
Child development
ECE assessments
Planning and implementing early learning and childcare programs that are supportive of positive early learning and child development outcomes
Play-based opportunities that are determined by childrens interests
Early learning framework
Intensive needs of children and inclusive practice
Understanding that children grow and learn through positive, responsive interactions with adults and peers in their lives
Promotion of positive behaviours and child guidance
Ethics of the early learning and child care profession
Effective communication
Recognition and will value the communities and cultures in which children grow and learn, including Indigenous cultures in Saskatchewan
An understanding that relationships are the foundation upon which optimal child outcomes are built
Mental health, substance abuse, trauma-informed care, and harm reduction would be an asset
Qualifications
Two-year diploma in early childhood education
ECE certification
CPR and First Aid
Valid Class 5 license
Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check
Expected Salary Range: $26.00 - $30.00 hourly
