Description

As an Addictions Worker with the Metis Addictions Council of Saskatchewan Inc. (MACSI), you will perform a variety of duties that include, ensuring the health and safety of our clients, transporting clients to activities and meetings throughout the community, ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the facility, and being a representative of MACSI to help our clients with any needs they may have. This position reports directly to the Regional Director.
All candidates must have a valid Drivers License, First Aid & CPR certification and Food Safe handling course.
This position is permanent part time, Saturday and Sunday 0030 pm - 0830 am with every 3rd weekend off

This position is open to applicants of all genders.

Responsibilities, Duties and Performance Expectations:

o Dynamic supervision and monitoring of the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs/conditions of our clients, ensuring concerns are addressed in a timely fashion
o Under guidance and direction from Addictions Counsellors, implement client treatment plan
o Supervise our clients while they participate in general household duties
o Transport our clients to out-of-Centre programming and medical appointments
o Perform various clerical duties
o Perform general cleaning duties including custodial and maintenance services
o Provide initial/basic crisis intervention and support
o Maintain records of client activity in various logs and documentation files
o Prepare and serve meals at designated times as outlined in the evening and weekend plans
o Ensure the evening and weekend programming at the Centre functions consistently with the treatment program objective set out by the counselling staff
o Perform substance abuse testing for new and existing clients in our program(s)
o Lead individual and group sessions according to individualized treatment plans and in accordance with professional standards
