Description

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday  37.5 hour per week
12 month term

Position Description:
An EA position is available at the YWCA Emmas Space Childcare Centre. The successful applicants will be responsible for the development and safety of the children as well as the creation and implementation of developmentally appropriate programming for the child with diverse needs to support his grow and development.


General Responsibilities:
-    Providing a safe environment for all children
-    Programming for children utilizing the Play and Exploration principles.
-    Be a team player
-    Have a positive attitude
-    Punctual and dependable

Additional responsibilities for EA position:
o    Working with a child with diverse needs
o    Looking after all aspects of the childs needs
o    Creating and implementing a Personal Program Plan
o    Support and work collaboratively with parents and supporting professionals


Qualifications:
Education and experience are essential.
- Early Childhood Education Priority will be given to individuals enrolled in classes to complete Level 1.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Criminal record check with a vulnerable sector check
-CPR and first AID Certificate
