Job Description
Under the direction of a Program Manager and as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Social Worker provides a range of screening, triage, assessment, treatment and case coordination services to a primarily child and youth mental health and addiction population. The incumbent provides supervision to students in formal clinical practicums.

Education
- Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
Experience
- Requires a minimum of one year (postgraduate) recent recognized experience in a community mental health setting working with children, youth and families presenting with acute and chronic mental health problems.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Demonstrates:
- Knowledge of normal child and adolescent development and psychopathology.
- Ability to identify, implement and evaluate areas of client difficulty across a wide range of clinical presentation and formulate evidence based intervention.
- Knowledge of the diversity of cultures, values and traditions and their impact on accessing mental health services.
- Knowledge of a variety of intervention strategies (individual and group) for children/youth with mental health and addiction problems in a community setting, including, but not limited to: assessment, triage treatment and case management.
