The Role
Cameco has a great opportunity available for an enthusiastic, motivated professional to be a part of a diverse procurement team responsible for supporting all of Camecos Canadian operations on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will:
-Source a range of materials, equipment and services, conduct RFQ's/RFP's and interact closely with internal and external stakeholders.
-You will be contributing to value creation from procurement activities, acting as a service provider to our partners at our Canadian operations, as well as participating in continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
-Sourcing best overall value to meet internal customer needs, generating and expediting purchase orders in an SAP environment, developing and executing contracts, managing vendor on-time delivery and facilitating expeditious resolution of blocked invoices to ensure efficiency in the procure-to-pay process.
Required:
-A bachelors degree in business, commerce, or in a related field.
-Five to eight years of experience in the supply chain management procurement field.
-Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered.
-Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
Recommended:
-Previous SAP experience
-A Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or another comparable designation
