The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Commercial Real Estate Legal Assistant in our law office. This position will attend to submitting registrations with ISC Land Titles Registry, due diligence searches and will draft and prepare mortgage documents, transfer documents and other pertinent real estate transactional documents. Preference will be given to those who have two years or more experience in Real Estate.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Minimum Education: Completion of a high school education. Successful completion of a recognized Legal Assistant Course is an asset.
- Minimum Experience: 1-2 years of experience as a legal assistant.
- Criminal record check required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a legal professional
- Manage time entries, disbursement entries, client billings and payments
- Competence in responding to client inquiries over the phone and through email
- Maintain digital and physical filings
- Manage lawyers calendars, bookings and hard deadlines
- Experience with Saskatchewan Corporate Registry, Land Titles and Personal Property Registry, considered an asset
- Draft and edit emails, letters, statements and other complex legal documents
- Understanding of bank forms and financing related to real estate transactions
- Experience with commercial sales, purchases, mortgages and preparation of related documents
- Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite package, including Word, Excel and Outlook
