Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our accounting department and ensure the accurate and efficient execution of financial processes. In this role, you will be included in various aspects of the accounting cycle, including payroll, PST and GST remittance, month-end financials, and more. Key Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate and timely remittance of PST and GST.
Prepare month-end financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Monitor and maintain compliance with Canadian accounting standards and regulations.
Continuously improve accounting processes and procedures for efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support for decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
