St Paul Lutheran Church is a faith-based community dedicated to serving God and His people. We are seeking an energetic and hard-working Church Administrative Assistant to join our church community.
Responsibilities include clerical support, office management, and administrative duties. Candidates should have administrative experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for serving others.
The Church Administrative Assistant serves as the primary point of contact, for phone calls, emails, and inquiries from visitors, members, and the public; keeps accurate church records; provides assistance and coordination for worship services and special church events; maintains an organized workspace; provides assistance to church staff, including managing calendars and schedules, preparing materials, managing pastoral care visits, and providing administrative support for pastoral projects and initiative.
Hours of work: 10 hours per week, days of the week to be determined
Rate of Pay: $18.00 per hour, stat holiday pay, accrued vacation. Training will be provided.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years administrative assistant experience
Ability to use standard applications and equipment such as Office 365, computers, printers, and copiers.
Ability to learn new computer applications on both a Mac computer and a Windows computer.
High School diploma and a business or office diploma is an asset.
Valid Saskatchewan Driver's license required.
Must be a Yorkton resident and Canadian citizen, or have a valid Canadian work visa.
Ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills; good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with visitors, church membership, and pastoral staff, as well as preparing communication materials; keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy, ability to work independently as well as a team member.
