Description

The ADEA is a First Nation Education Authority serving the three Denesuline First Nations communities in northern Saskatchewan; Black Lake, Hatchet Lake, and Fond Du Lac. The Authority is working toward improved educational outcomes by utilizing the latest technology, progressively piloting programs, and integrating Denesuline culture into the classroom and school curriculum.
The ADEA is seeking a competent, confident, and motivated individual/s to fill the position of an Occupational Therapist as a contractor at Father Porte Memorial Dene School (FPMDS) in Black Lake and Father Gamache Memorial School (FGMS) in Fond Du Lac, Northern Saskatchewan. In this role, you will help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally by providing programs that will help their fine motor, visual, motor integration, sensory processing, and other occupational performance skills.
To qualify for this position, you will need to be a Registered Occupational Therapist and in good standing with the CAOT  SK Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists  Saskatchewan, have an understanding of the Denesuline language and culture, and willingness to travel 1 week at a time per month.
This competition is open to all applicants who reside in Canada; and preference will be given to First Nation or other Indigenous applicants who possess the qualifications, knowledge, and skills to meet the minimum suitability requirements as stated for the position.
