General Responsibilities:
The day to day mechanical effectiveness of production equipment and facility services.
Complete preventative maintenance on a set schedule.
Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical or mechanical components and equipment for a multi-line production.
Optimize equipment safety and efficiency by participating in continuous improvement through completion of work orders according to PM schedules
Work within all company safety policies and applicable health and safety legislation
Responsible for the cleanliness of work areas.
Promptly reports equipment failures and breakdowns to supervisor.
Evaluate causes for failures and/or breakdowns and suggest preventive/corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Properly and accurately fill in all related departmental paperwork and documents.
Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
Requirements
Journeyperson certificate or working experience as a Millwright
Experience working in a manufacturing facility is an asset
Strong problem solving skills
Able to lift 50 pounds.
Working Conditions
Job has daily exposure to a processing environment which includes work inside and outside. Conditions can be greasy and exposure to dust.
