Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery, motors, conveyors, and production equipment to ensure peak performance.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues by observing operations, listening for irregular sounds, and using testing tools to pinpoint problems.
Disassemble and reassemble machinery to replace faulty components.
Track and evaluate equipment performance to minimize downtime.
Conduct repairs and maintenance using welding and metalworking tools, such as drills, presses, and grinders.
Work closely with production teams to schedule maintenance and minimize operational disruptions.
Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and equipment specs for effective maintenance.
Provide regular updates on maintenance progress, equipment status, and production challenges.
Respond to urgent maintenance needs outside of regular hours as required.
Adhere to company policies, including health and safety standards, HACCP, and GMP.
Contribute to team efforts by taking on additional duties and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in a maintenance or technician role, preferably within a processing plant or similar setting.
Proven experience maintaining and troubleshooting plant machinery.
Proficiency in welding, electrical systems, and motor repairs is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of safety protocols and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
