Duties of the Food service supervisor include:
Supervise production, preparation and distribution of food, ingredients and supplies
Prepare timetables, work schedules, cleaning schedules and leave procedures to ensure coverage
Track stocks like meat, grocery, and other ingredients, and restock items to ensure sufficient supplies
Oversee standardization of recipes, menu preparation, portion, cost and waste control
Order food and non-food supplies, check deliveries and maintain inventory records
Supervise work area, equipment cleaning and maintenance and ensure adherence to all safety procedures pertaining to work methods, equipment operation, fire safety and health protocols
Train the new and existing staff about the job duties, safety procedures and methods in place
Ensure a cheerful, welcoming and helpful mannerism and environment
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of products including new products and promotions and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures such as time and quality expectations
Perform store opening/closing/reporting duties as appropriate for shift being handled
Requirements for the role:
Completion of high school is required.
One year experience in food service or working in a similar role is required, supervisor/leader role is highly desired.
Work under pressure.
Ability to stand for long hours and work in a fast-paced environment.
Good multitasking skills and communications skills .
