Description

Make an impact with our Expert Accounting team as a Staff Accountant in our Saskatoon office or a Remote office.  

What you will do:
Ensure tight deadlines are met and provide accounting services to a portfolio of clients, including:
Process and balance daily bank deposits.
Process pre-authorized withdrawals for clients on a weekly basis.
Payroll entries including source deduction remittances.
General journal analysis and account reconciliation.
Act as a point of contact to resolve client/vendor account queries.
Month end process:
assist in preparing the permanent file
create and post entries
account reconciliation
assist in financial analysis when required
Accounts payable duties including: invoice entry, matching vendor invoices to purchase orders, and supplier reconciliations.
Assist in the delivery of all financial reports required to evaluate achievement of corporate objectives.
Assist in the completion of financial reporting tools and the related staff training.
Participate in the annual external audit as well as any tax audits as required.
Contribute to creating and maintaining process documentation for all clients.
Maintain customer (internal and external) confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Assist with other functions as required.

What you offer:
Minimum five (5) years of full cycle accounting experience in a small business environment.
Bachelors Degree or Diploma majoring in Accounting is required.
Payroll experience is preferred.
Solid working knowledge of GAAP and relevant tax and regulatory requirements.
Proficient in Office 365; specifically, Word and Excel.
Advanced computer skills with experience using a variety of accounting software programs, and ability to learn new programs quickly.
Professional written and oral communication.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and is a self-starter.
Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset.
