Valley Action Abilities is seeking an experienced Childcare Centre cook to join our team at the Little Ducklings Childcare Centre.

We are looking for organized, energetic, outgoing and organized professional who love to work with children.

We strive to create positive environments where children can learn  self-esteem, strong social skills and experience emotional growth in order to become healthy, happy and confident individuals. Healthy meal and snacks are a critical part of that.

Duties Include:
* Preparing nutritious snacks and meals for 30-
  50 children and staff each day.
* Following a menu that has been developed to promote childrens health
  and well being.
* Cleaning and sanitizing.
* Assist with developmentally age appropriate
  programming for children aged 0 to 12 in
  collaboration with families and the community.
* Following Valley Action policy
* Helping with activities and programs for  
  babies, toddlers and children.
* Communicate and collaborate with families and
  colleagues to support high quality child care.

Desired Requirements:
* 1-2 years food preparation/cooking in a
  childcare or commercial cooking environment

*A certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood education or ECE I,ECE II, ECE III preferred

Mandatory Requirements:

* Criminal record and vulnerable sector check

* Possession of or willingness to obtain  CPR/First Aid, and Safe Food Handing

* Willingness to seek ECE training
