Description

JOB SUMMARY:
This individual will posses strong organizational skills, be able to keep accurate and complete records. Knowledge of MS Excel and Word is required. To make sure all guest rooms and common areas of the hotel are cleaned and presented to company standards. Manage and supervise all housekeeping and houseman staff and the recruitment and retention of all department staff.
Have an eye for detail and quality control. This person is responsible to lead the housekeeping department and the day to day operations, namely to inspect rooms, keep stock levels at optimum range (on each floor and on each housekeepers cart), ensure Ramada Standards are being kept. May be required to clean rooms and to take full leadership of the department

DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
Inspect and ensure quality control (as per Ramada Standards) of all guest rooms. To utilize the hotel's property management system (Opera) to produce reports.
Complete all daily and monthly duties and to enable the efficient operation of the rooms division, including updating daily payroll information to accounting, communication with the front office in terms of reporting room status, and other office responsibilities.
Clean guest rooms (dusting, cleaning, wiping, vacuuming, garbage and linen removal) , as required.
Supply the housekeepers with stock for the housekeeping carts during the day, as required.
Ensure proper levels of housekeeping stock located in housekeeping storage rooms on each floor.
Ensure cleanliness in all areas by completing public area rounds and inspections
Compile up to date and accurate information on each guest room, including extra cleaning completed, maintenance requests etc. (Log book)
Keep a schedule of additional cleaning duties performed in the guest rooms and common areas.
ALL occupied rooms will need to be inspected each day.
Communicate with the front desk staff regularly to ensure efficiency.
