Description

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday  37.5 hour per week

Position Description:
Under the general supervision of the Child Care Director and under the direct supervision of the Assistant
Director, the Early Childhood Educator is responsible to maintain and develop the childrens program with their group of children in the Downtown Childcare Centers. This team member must adhere to all the policies and regulations as set out in the Parent Handbook and Child Care Staff Manual.

The position entails working Monday-Friday for a total of 37.5 hours per week. This position is a combination of supporting all age groups and educators and creating and implementing developmentally appropriate programming. The successful applicant will be responsible for children's safety and development.

Providing a safe environment for all children
Programming for children utilizing the Play and Exploration principles
Be a team player
Have a positive attitude
Punctual and dependable
Support and work collaboratively with parents and all stake holders
Communicate professionally, effectively, and respectfully with children, colleagues, and family members

Qualifications:
Required
Good written and verbal communication skills
Criminal record check and vulnerable sector check
Early Childhood Education Level I or II
Experience working with children
Knowledge of child development stages
