RIWC Regina Immigrant Women Centre is a non-profit organization which provides programming and services for newcomers. RIWC is looking for a full-time Finance Coordinator to join the Finance team. The Coordinator is going to provide financial assistance and budget resources support to RIWC programs. This is a mid-level position and will report directly to the Finance Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelors degree major in accounting or finance with 2-3 years of Canadian experience
Self-motivated wit initiative for running a smooth finance operation within an organization
Emotional maturity, resourceful team player, able to be effective & independent
Complete knowledge of payroll and Canadian Taxes/Deductions
Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office- Word and Excel
Good verbal and written English communication skills
DUTIES AND ABILITIES
Supervise RIWC account payable & receivable, monthly payroll, employee benefits & other financial systems and processes
- Monitor and adjust all month end entries and make adjustments if necessary
- Internally prepare and update all forecasting sheet for all projects to track expenses
- Make, track and and update global budget and admin salary allocations
- Prepare and supervise budget reports as per agreement
-prepare project overheads sheets after project allocations and update finance manager
- Upload all project budgets in the QuickBooks when program begins or at the start of a new fiscal year or following amendments.
- Maintain documentation and records proficiently to ensure correctness and timely delivery
- with support from the manner, handle and resolve queries regarding billings and associated disputes.
- Discuss monthly reports on the RIWC budgets with the manager and assist the manager in Year end activities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with tight deadlines
Work experience in non-profit organizations is an asset
