Description

RESPONSIBILITIES
    Prepare baked food products based on Gateway Co-ops recipes while maintaining elevated level of food safety and brand standards.
    Provide efficient service while maintaining excellent customer service as per Gateway Co-ops standards.
    Ensure there is enough baked goods as per staging and baking sheet while minimizing food was and freshness of product.
    Ensure completion of daily cleaning duties, temperature and cleaning logs.
    Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers and other storage areas.
    Ensure all opening duties are completed at the start of each shift.
    Ensure all closing duties are completed at the end of each shift
    Keep clean and in good working order all equipment used in the performance of duties.
    Any other duties needed to help to drive Gateway Co-ops vision and abide by our co-operatives values of responsibility, respect and excellence.
CERTIFICATION, TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS
    High school diploma or equivalent GED.
    Minimum 1 year as a baker or baker trainee is an asset.
    Has or willing to obtain Food Wise certification.
    Working knowledge of bakery quality, hygiene, safety, and food preparation.
    Good communication and organizational skills.
    Possess a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan drivers license with a clean driving abstract (if applicable).
    Ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
    Motivation and ability to work in a busy work environment is required.
    Completion of food safety program or willingness to obtain.
WORKING CONDITIONS
    Hours will vary depending on scheduling requirements and starting times can be anywhere from 2:00 am to noon and sometimes evenings are required.
    Must be able to work flexible shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends (Saturday and Sundays are mandatory).
