WE COVER YOUR FLIGHT, MEALS, & ACCOMMODATION WHEN AT SITE!
The baker reports to the chef and shall prepare enough bakery goods (including sugar free products) for a normal day operation. Assistance with Breakfast operations is required during break coverages. Other duties include:
- Providing a list ingredient requirement to the chef for ordering.
- Completing special client function orders (ex. Cake decorating, cookie platters).
- Production of individual desserts, as per daily requirements.
- Deep cleaning bakery equipment regularly and/or as needed, including ovens.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner and report all incidents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous Kitchen Experience is essential.
- Previous supervisory experience in a kitchen is a strong asset.
- Possession of Food Safe Certification considered an asset.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to perform duties in a safe & efficient manner.
- Physical ability to perform the assigned duties.
- Knowledge of safety procedures associated with working with hazardous products, including knowledge of WHIMIS.
Things to Consider:
- Require shift work at a remote site, with a 2 weeks in-and-out rotations.
- You must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
- You must be a team player, who works well with others.
