Description

Job Summary:
The Construction Technician will assist in the execution of various paving projects, ensuring that all tasks are performed efficiently, safely, and to industry standards. This position involves working hands-on with asphalt and concrete materials, operating machinery, and ensuring quality control throughout the paving process. The technician will work closely with the project team, providing technical support and ensuring that paving projects meet the companys standards for quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
    Assist in the preparation and layout of construction sites for road paving projects.
    Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections or technical investigations of topography, soils, drainage and water supply systems to provide data for engineering projects
    Operate and maintain various types of road construction equipment, such as asphalt pavers, rollers, and compactors.
    Conduct inspections to ensure work meets specificationsquality standards and is line with project schedules.
    Monitor material usage, including asphalt and other construction materials, to prevent waste and ensure optimal project efficiency.
    Support the implementation of safety protocols and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
    Work collaboratively with the project team to ensure timely project completion.
    Perform site cleanup and maintenance duties as required.
    Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and coworkers regarding project progress, issues, and needs.
Qualifications:
    College degree or above in related field.
    Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction, preferably in paving or road work.
    Knowledge of asphalt and concrete paving techniques, including compaction, surface finishing, and material handling.
    Ability to read and understand blueprints, plans, and technical drawings related to paving projects.
    Strong understanding of safety practices and procedures on construction and paving
