Key Responsibilities:
Assist Mechanics: Provide assistance to skilled mechanics by fetching tools, parts, and supplies as needed during vehicle or equipment repair and maintenance.
Basic Repairs: Perform minor repairs under the supervision of a mechanic, such as changing tires, oil, filters, and batteries.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and organize the work area, tools, and equipment. Ensure that vehicles and machinery are free of debris before repairs.
Parts Installation: Help install or replace vehicle parts like hoses, belts, wipers, brake pads, and spark plugs.
Inspection Assistance: Support mechanics during vehicle or equipment inspections by checking fluids, lights, and tire pressure.
Equipment Operation: Operate basic equipment such as jacks, hoists, or diagnostic tools, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used on vehicles or machinery.
Transport: Move vehicles or machinery in and out of the garage or workshop.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment.
