Description

Regina Immigrant Women (RIWC) is a not for profit organization, funded to support newcomers and immigrants in Regina in their settlement and integration into their new communities. RIWC is growing and looking to expand its HR team by adding a HR Assistant to support the HR unit.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Answering questions from employees on any HR related queries;
Tracking employees working hours and their use of vacation and sick days;
Entering data into HR databases;
Maintaining employee files and records while keeping HR information confidential;
Assisting with payroll and employee benefits;
Assisting in developing and updating job descriptions and specifications;
Posting positions and overseeing updates on recruitment websites and other media;
Ensuring contracts and other HR related documents like work permits are up to date and renewed/documented at the right time
Handling termination-related matters;
Staying current on the organizations structure, personnel policy, and laws regarding employment practices;
Other duties as assigned by the Team Lead and the Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum A Human Resources diploma
Experience support HR Operations in a similar environment
Competency with Microsoft Office applications
Thorough knowledge of Canadian / Saskatchewan employment laws

SKILLS
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Interpersonal with good written and oral communication skills
Problem solving
Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
Organizational skills and ability to prioritize
