Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Employment Consultant to join our team on a temporary basis, with the potential for permanent employment. In this role, you will provide crucial support to individuals facing barriers to employment, helping them navigate the job market, develop essential skills, and secure meaningful work.

Key Responsibilities:

*Collaborate one-on-one with clients to assess their employment needs, skills, and barriers.
*Create personalized employment action plans and provide ongoing support.
*Assist clients with resume development, interview preparation, and effective job search strategies.
*Build and nurture relationships with local employers to generate job opportunities for clients.
*Offer job coaching and follow-up support to ensure clients achieve long-term employment success.
*Lead workshops on employment-related topics such as job search techniques, workplace expectations, and career development.
*Continuously monitor and evaluate client progress, adapting action plans as necessary.
*Work closely with community partners and service providers to connect clients with additional resources.
*Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting.

Qualifications:

*Experience working with individuals facing employment barriers, such as disabilities, language challenges, or lack of work experience.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and employers.
*Knowledge of the local job market and available community resources.
*Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to devise creative solutions tailored to each clients needs.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office and job search platforms.
*A background in social work, human services, or career counseling is an asset.

Requirements: A valid Class 5 drivers license, a reliable vehicle, and a clear criminal and vulnerable sector record check.
