Description

The City of Warman is seeking to fill the position of Building Custodian for the Recreation and Community Service Department, full-time hours until February 2025, then switching to part-time hours afterwards (mostly evenings and weekends with availability to cover for other shifts as needed).
The Building Custodian is responsible for event preparation, event follow-up, cleaning and maintaining the buildings, equipment, fixtures, and furnishings. This position performs vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, washing walls, doors and windows and emptying trash. The Building Custodian also assists with snow removal and other duties in the Parks department from time to time, mostly maintaining clean and groomed parks, keeping all grounds looking aesthetically pleasing.

Qualifications:
o    A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
o    Experience in custodial care is an advantage. Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and maintenance procedure.
o    Must be physically fit and able to perform manual labour for extended period of time under various weather conditions.
o    A valid drivers license with a clean abstract.
o    Able to travel independently within and outside the community.
o    Must be subject to a police criminal record check to determine suitability to work with and around children and youth.
o    Basic computer literacy.
o    WHMIS Certificate.
