AGT Foods Canada is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our Regina Head Office team.

The successful candidate will:

Prepare journal entries
Perform the monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts
Perform monthly bag inventory reconciliation  book to physical
Complete and submit monthly bag duty drawback claims
Prepare monthly accrual entries and mark-to-market on balance sheet (AR/AP)
Prepare monthly financial reports for processing plants (plant reporting)
Assist with testing of internal controls
Assist with ancillary accounts payable tasks as required
Assist with year-end audit requests
Assist in the evaluation and enhancement of existing processes
Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as required

Skills & Abilities Required:

University degree or diploma, specializing in accounting
Current enrollment or willingness to enroll in a professional designation program
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
Strong communication skills and attention to planning, process, and detail
Must be a self-starter with a positive, entrepreneurial spirit
Experience in the Agricultural industry, preferred, but not required
Criminal record check to be completed
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada without employer sponsorship
