Part-time Library Clerk
The City of Warman is seeking to fill the part-time position of Library Clerk working mostly evening (3.00 or 4.00pm to 7.30 or 9.30pm) and weekend (every other Saturday from 9.30am to 4.30pm) shifts for a total of up to 25 hours per week. Reporting directly to the Head Librarian, the Library Clerk is responsible for providing patrons and visitors with excellent customer service and for performing all aspects of circulation duties, including phone and in-person inquiries, checking of materials, shelving, notification, and collection of over- due accounts as well as assisting patrons with computer related inquiries, online database searches, inter-library loan requests and processes deliveries. The Library Assistant is also responsible for pulling books that have been requested by other libraries and other administrative duties.
Requirements:
High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of and experience in computer applications including data entry and word processing is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must
Must be subject to a police criminal record check to determine suitability to work with and around children and youth
Required to abide and carry out the policies and direction of the City of Warman
Must be bondable and able to receipt monies from facility rentals
