Description

Quint Development Corporation is a community-based organization dedicated to fostering sustainable development and positive change in Saskatoons core neighbourhoods. Through the Core Neighbourhoods At Work program, we support individuals in achieving employment, training, and education goals.

We are seeking a dynamic individual for the Resource Room Drop-In Position to work alongside the Resource Room Coordinator and provide direct support to people using the resource room. This role is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to our mission of positively impacting Saskatoons core neighbourhoods.

Duties include:
Complete intake and registration for individuals seeking support.
Provide assistance with resume/cover letter, job search, online applications, general computer use.
Help individuals identify and access community resources.
Monitor the resource space and schedule appointments using an online calendar.
Maintain participant documentation for case management.
Identify barriers to employment and support job readiness development.

Requirements:
Knowledge of pre-employment support methods.
Ability to build strong relationships and be welcoming to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Understanding of employment barriers faced by core neighbourhood residents.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Internet.
Familiarity with labour market, education/training programs, and local services that address employment challenges.
Strong documentation skills with attention to detail.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to de-escalate situations.

Education & Experience:
Relevant education or equivalent work/lived experience.
Knowledge of the Canadian labour market and job search strategies.
Valid drivers license & vehicle access are assets.
