Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Wellness Promotion is a process of supporting, training, and encouraging others in the pursuit of well-being in all dimensions of a person's life, including Social, Physical, Emotional, Occupational, Intellectual, Environmental and Spiritual.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
1. Leading a Mental Wellness Team in each of the six member First Nations communities along with two (2) community member volunteers
2.    Create a Yearly work plan submitted to the community Health Director and YTC Coordinator
3. Availability is of high importance and a willingness to respond to crisis situations
4. Provide emotional support in times of crisis. not only in your community, but other communities of the Yorkton Tribal Council  in partnership with the YTC crisis team.
5. Plan and coordinate events in the community which could be in partnership with other programs to enhance community activities.
6. Sharing information about Mental Wellness on a regular basis for community members
7. Communicating with the Mental Wellness Team Coordinator, planning events with the team, sharing information about crisis situations, and keeping coordinator up to date
8. Monthly reporting to Mental Wellness Team Coordinator and building capacity by partnering to meet the needs of the community
