Under the supervision of the After Hours Prevention Supervisor the After Hours Prevention Support Worker will: provide a after hours Prevention response to children, youth and families. The goal is to provide wrap-around services for high-risk families that need after hour coverage to support Wellness Intervention plans. The participants will be aware of the presence and response of an after-hours staff member which should correlates with a decrease in misconduct, or inappropriate or unauthorized persons incidents within the transition units. Provide immediate family support to families at risk of child protection involvement. You will be required to travel, work flexible hours and lift and carry small children and transport families. Must have knowledge of: FSIN Indian Child and Family Support Act and Saskatchewan Child Welfare Act. Cree, Nakota and Saulteaux Culture and the political and social objectives of the YTCCFS Inc. member first nation; poverty and other socio-economic issues and how they impact people; human growth and development and the impact of influencing factors; systemic barriers that affect clients and communities; multicultural beliefs, values and perspectives with particular emphasis on First Nations people; and a range of human behavioral theories and intervention strategies. Working after business hours 4:30pm - 8:30am on-call basis, on a rotating schedule. Training is provided.
