Description

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full Time Facilities Repair and Maintenance Technician (2 Positions) to join our Facilities Team based in Prince Albert.

Reporting to Facilities Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:
Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operatives vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach
Conduct the ongoing inspections, maintenance, and repairs of the structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing including manual and automatic car wash bays
Maintain compliance with Asset Protection and Health and Safety Standards completing assigned work in a safe manner at all times, while wearing all appropriate PPE, obeying rules of the road, and following all appropriate safety policies and procedures
Determine best practices for implementing ongoing preventative measures and addressing the reactive and emergent requirements to prolong life of existing and new equipment
Respond to building deficiencies in a timely and professional manner
Use data base and communication tools to track assigned work, record notes, and close cases

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in facilities maintenance and
You have 1-3 years of facility repair and maintenance experience
You have experience and/or knowledge in plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry and overall general maintenance skills
You have the flexibility to respond to issues outside of regular working hours as required, there is a weekend rotation component to this position
Physical labour is required; including standing, driving, walking, climbing and kneeling
Must have a valid Class 5 license
