Description

MGBHLM is seeking a self-motivated Prevention Manager to fulfill the following duties for our Nation. Duties include but are not limited to the delivery of support programs and services to all families, children and young people for Mosquito Grizzly Bears Head Lean Man First Nation. To ensure the provision of fair and equitable, respectful and culturally relevant services to our nation.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Provide supervision and consultation to the Prevention team.
    Collaborate with relevant communities to explore options with other First Nations
    Plan, coordinate and implement community-based prevention programs, services, projects and events as assigned according to workplans, budgets, and funding requirements to meet the prevention team objectives.
    Complete and submit prevention program internal and external reporting as necessary and requested.
    Participate in the overall development and decision-making as a member of the management team.
    Authorize timesheets and time-off requests

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
    Post-secondary education or equivalent; Grade 12 or equivalent
    Demonstrate excellent management and administrative skills.
    Demonstrate excellent analytical skills in order to evaluate program needs and results.
    Demonstrate the ability to organize and prioritize a variety of competing and urgent demands.
    Knowledge of the Child and Youth Family Services Act.
    Knowledge of and experience with Word, Excel, Publisher.
    Ability to work independently and a willingness to work flexible hours.
    Travel is recommended with vehicle provided
    Access to a reliable vehicle
    Related work experience


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Class 5 drivers license
    CPIC

WORKING CONDITIONS:
    The majority of time will be spent working independently during the performance of the duties.
    High level of trust and self-motivation expected
    Employees will respect each others time, space, and need for concentration
