Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday + ALL STAT Holidays
23:00hrs (11:00pm) 7:00hrs (7:00am)
Reporting to the Director of Inpatient Services, this worker is responsible for the safety and security of the facility, program continuity and providing supportive services to the clients of Wakamow Manor.
Duties:
Typical duties and responsibilities include the following:
Assure the security of Wakamow Manor including monitoring client compliance with program
Provide assistance to clients as part of their daily routine as required
Provide information and resources on formal and informal supports to recovery.
Distribute medications as approved and required
Provide crisis intervention as may be required
Provide support in the areas of the psychosocial education as required.
Follow through with the Individual Program Plan of the client
Assure appropriate records are completed in a timely manner, such as the staff log, client program log and contact notes and incident reports
Attend to light housekeeping requirements
Receive and respond to phone inquiries and attend to clerical duties as required.
Educational Requirements:
Successful completion of secondary education
Post Secondary studies in the Human Service Field of no less than 30 credit hours
or the equivalent.
Experience:
No less than one year in a setting with adults who experience severe mental illness and/or additions. Preference to candidates with at least six months experience as service provider in a detox setting.
Pay:
$17.48-$19.19 per hour + Night Premium
(Employees shall receive a shift differential of $0.25 for hours between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00a.m. Sunday to Thursday. Employees shall receive a weekend night premium of $0.50 for hours worked between 11:00 p.m. Friday to 7:00 a.m. Saturday and 11:00p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Sunday.)
