Overview
The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Rare Earth Element (REE) Division has a career opportunity for Plumber/Pipefitter Apprentices of all levels to support the construction, commissioning, and operations for SRCs Rare Earth Processing Facility.
Accountabilities
Apprentices will support multiple installation procedures and work with a wide variety of piping materials such as PVC, stainless steel, carbon steel and galvanized steel
Assist with the installation, repair and maintenance for process piping for heating, water, process fluids and drainage systems for SRCs Rare Earth Processing Facility
Learn to interpret drawings, 3D models and specifications to determine layout of the installation and materials required
Participate in commissioning and testing of piping systems and process equipment
Qualifications
Registration with the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trades Certification Commission (SATCC) is required prior to commencing employment
All levels are encouraged to apply
Valid Class 5 drivers licence
All training required for the position will be provided as needed
Skills
Team player with effective interpersonal and communication skills
Confident using Microsoft Office applications, digital communications and reading digital drawings
Heavy lifting may be required
The chosen candidate will be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
This position is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
