The PLWA Network is an Indigenous community-based, non-profit organization that provides care, support and education while promoting wellness to people affected by HIV/AIDS.
This position will work closely with the CLient Services Supervisor providing support to the PLWA drop-in services and lunch program.
Responsibilities include:
Provide lunch service to HIV+ members as well as those at-risk if needed.
Data input
Monitor activities in the Drop-In Centre
Assist with administrative duties as required
Assist with fundraisers to provide programs to HIV positive
persons
Ensure guidelines of the PLWA Drop-In Centre are followed
appropriately
Keep members, families/loved ones informed of
programs/services that may be specific to their needs.
Occasional errands/picking up supplies for Drop-In Centre
Assist in member outings as needed
Assist where needed as directed by Supervisor or Executive
Director/Designate
Qualifications:
Must have a reliable vehicle
Self-motivated.
Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity,
and personal wellness.
Possess a valid drivers license.
Submit a criminal record check.
Knowledge of HIV
Knowledge of substance use and its impact
Cultural Awareness
Comfort working with target populations.
