Description

SUMMARY:
The Community Safety Patrol Officer will secure all community buildings, preventing any vandalism, break-ins, and other incidents. They must fill out the log provided and record any occurrences that may happen throughout the shift, and hand in log to Director of Operations the next day. The Community Safety Patrol Officer will notify any incidents to the appropriate authorities that need immediate attention.  
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Arrives to work on time and attends work on a regular basis with minimal absences.
2.Develops and carries out an intermittent building security check schedule while recording incidents.
3.Checks and secures all community buildings, to include (but not limited to) the Administration Building, Resource Center, Health, Trust, School, Operations & Maintenance Shop, and the Sand & Gravel Operations.  
4.Completes an hour-by-hour log showing buildings and windows checked, noting security systems are functioning properly, any acts of vandalism, any suspicious activity observed to be around community buildings or in direct proximity to buildings, unlocked doors and suspected entries or malfunctions in security equipment.  
5.Patrol Kahkewistahaws main and secondary roads.  
6.Notifies police, fire department, or other appropriate authorities of any situation requiring immediate or prompt attention.
7.Considerate, courteous, and treat others with respect and professionalism.
8.Any other duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor.
