The Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority (ADEA) is a First Nation Education Authority serving the three Denesuline First Nations communities in northern Saskatchewan; Black Lake First Nation, Hatchet Lake First Nation, and Fond Du Lac First Nation. The Authority serves a total student population of approximately 1,300+ students. The Authority is working toward improved educational outcomes by utilizing the latest technology, progressively piloting programs, and integrating Denesuline culture into the classroom and school curriculum.

The ADEA is seeking a competent, confident, motivated individual to fill the position of Highschool Literacy Catalyst at Father Gamache Memorial School, located in Fond Du Lac, Saskatchewan. In this role, you will provide strong interpersonal skills, commitment to learning and teaching in project-based ways and provide an enthusiastic work environment for staff/students.

To qualify for this position, you will need to have a Bachelors degree, a teaching certificate or credential or equivalent professional experience which would translate to successful classroom teaching (advanced degree preferred but not required), and have a background of training in literacy/reading at multiple grade levels. Must be eligible for or possess a valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate. Experience in working at a First Nations remote community would be an asset. The successful candidate will be required to relocate to the community.
