About Moose Jaw Family Services
MJFS has been providing counselling and support services to the Moose Jaw community since 1977. Our programs help individuals build resilience, develop skills, & make positive life changes.

The Opportunity
The Mental Health and Addictions Lead will be part of the Integrated Youth Service HOMEBASE, collaborating with multiple agencies to provide youth with timely access to services. This role emphasizes early interventions & a multidisciplinary approach to youth mental health needs.
Responsibilities
    Work on-site at HOMEBASE Moose Jaw
    Collaborate with HOMEBASE senior staff on mental health programs
    Provide counselling using brief, solution-focused therapy
    Liaise with youth participants & service providers
    Facilitate community outreach
    Develop & facilitate educational programming on mental health
    Maintain accurate & confidential records
    Support a clean, welcoming environment
    Office administration
    Participate in Trainings

Qualifications
    BSW, MSW, or equivalent in social work or counselling
    Registered with a professional association
    Experience working with youth & facilitating groups
    Knowledge of Indigenous, newcomer, 2SLGBTQIA+ populations
    Flexible availability: 10:00 AM-7:00 PM; requirement to be available for less traditional hours, including evenings/weekends.

The successful candidate must have a recent criminal record check, a vulnerable sector registry check, &  a valid drivers license.
